Advocacy - Issues and Legislation  WSRC BOD

HR 1077 & S343

The AARC needs all Wisconsin RT’s help in passing these bills. The bills are asking under Medicare Part B to have credited RT’s with a bachelors degree to practice in a physicians office. Wisconsin has 2 co-sponsors of this bill District 2, Tammy Baldwin and District 8, Dr.Kagen. We are trying to educate our COPD patients in the outpatient setting on correctly use their medications, and help keep them from readmissions to hospitals.

If you are interested in any legislation please feel free to contact Mary Roth, mroth@spmh.org

“The next 60 years will be years of challenge and change for our profession. If we know who we are as a profession and remain committed to acting in like manner, we will succeed and make the most of all the opportunity currently coming our way. If we fail, we will cheat the patient of needed respiratory care services both now and in the future. Now is our time. The future of our profession is in our hands.“
~ AARC President, Toni Rodriguez
